Got a text about that earlier today. Apparently this thing is ginormous. We're stuck only practicing on the stadium field right now and for the foreseeable future.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. Probably a good 4'x4' or so, and Lord knows how deep. Grounds brought in a ton of dirt yesterday, and had it all roped off. Don't have any pics, so just be patient.

It's something like 20 feet deep and 30 feet wide. Yeah, it's large.

That's big enough for an OX ROAST.

When I was leaving work yesterday, there were almost 20 people around it and they were feeding a fiber optic camera down the hole. Imagine Chris Summers running a route and all of a sudden he disappears?

The rest is underground. From the top it doesn't look like a big hole but under the surface it is.

So, it's like a reverse iceberg?

I drove by today to see the hole, but instead all I saw was big mound of dirt that looked like a new grave and reminded me of a verse from Emily Dickinson:

"We paused before a House that seemed / A swelling of the ground."
There was also an orange extension ladder covering what appeared to be a smaller hole.

I say we get the boys from BP up here, drill a bunch of access holes and pump it full of cement.

I have always wanted to use "top kill" in a conversation.

So if they learned anything from top kill the first time it should only take 60 days to fill this hole then right?

Since no one got hurt (thank the Lord), we can now joke about it, right??
So, what or who do you think caused the sinkhole? If you ask me, I think it was Asa. Probably happened when he sacked a QB or something

i heard that some of the windows in the FOC are cracking due to the sinkhole. is that possible that the sinkhole goes that far that it could affect the structure of the FOC?

That reminds me of the front steps shifting slightly on one side right after it was built.
