It's what we've been waiting for for 2 weeks!!!!!!! It's been 18 hours or so since the end of the RMU game and this thread still hasn't been started?!?!?!?!?!?!
Yeah, I guess the loss takes alot out of it.

I think the biggest thing we need to iron out ahead of time is where we should rendezvous once we win and flamefans crashes again. Championshipsubdivision.com would be okay, but the JMU board over at caazone.com would be my vote.
I'm trying my best to keep it positive here, guys.

If the site crashes, I thought the backup plan was always the FIREHOUSE.
Anyway, I think we're in deep trouble.
We haven't played 4 good quarters in a game. We played 1 1/2 bad quarters against St. Francis.
We played a bad 3rd quarter against Ball State.
And we had about 4 bad quarters at RMU. So out of 12 quarters, 8 1/2 were bad.
We need 4 good quarters in a row to stay in the game. What are the odds? If I do my math right, there's a 17 percent chance that we put 4 good quarters together. (8.5 divided by 12, would give us the chance of a good quarter...then divided by 4 for 4 good quarters in a row (.1778)).
So if we played JMU 10 times...1.7 of them would be close. Hopefully Saturday will be one of the 1.7.
In other words, the team needs to get focused and motivated!
I will be there on Saturday.

The tough part about that youtube post was sifting through pages of videos trying to find one that didn't have one of JMU's classy students giving profanity-laced commentary in it so I could post it here.
Oh, and the football game: JMU is obviously stacked. If we don't do something dramatically different this week, this one is going to be over before half time. If we defend the run like we did against RMU, our only hope will be to stick 14 guys in the box and hope they don't pass the ball or point out to the refs the fact that we have 3 extra guys on the field.
I've kinda kept quiet since yesterday, becaue I was JUST A LITTLE mift. OK I was ticked.
But I'm here to say that I think RMU was a complete let down and I think the team will come out on fire and we will win. They will take us lightly like all of you are, and we will be very angry. It will be ugly and tight, but we will win.

I'm excited to see what that stadium will look like when it's done. What they rebuilt for this year doesn't match up with the renderings look like for when the complete the next phase. At least to my eye. I just think the lower levels in those drawings look huge compared to the photos of what is there now.

I have more confidence in this game than I did in RMU. I'm not saying we're definitely going to win, but I think we'll play a lot better. Our team, for whatever reason, doesn't get up for crappy stadiums with no energy or atmosphere (PC, CSU, SBU, RMU) but they generally play well and compete in good energy environments (WVU, CCU, WFU) or on the road where the opponent is supposed to be better than us (BSU, Toledo, Lafayette). Will we win? I have no clue, but we'll compete.

I do not think you will be taken lightly after BSU

yeah I did think it looked a bit odd from all the photos I had seen of the design concepts.
can't wait for the new student section, the old one looks like a run down HS stadium

Does anyone know if there will be an area set aside for LU Fans to tailgate? I've never been to a game at JMU...

This game comes down to our running game. If we can establish any kind running game, it will open things up for Mike. I hope we get a little more creative with our running attack this week -- it seems like didn't run anything more than a simple counter play out of the shotgun against RMU, which RMU was all over. We don't have a bruiser back there, we need to get out speed guys out on the edge and let them get up the field.
Something's going to give here -- we have the 9th ranked offense in FCS, JMU is the 9th ranked defense.

Couple comments.
1. That drawing of the stadium is of the final, final version which is more of a hypothetical than a reality. That drawing was done to show how much further it could expand to get us to 50k. None of that has been planned, budgeted, scheduled, etc. The first phase that will be done next year is the side on the left (both decks) and the lower deck of the end zone.
2. Tailgating. Typically, visitors tailgate in the Convocation center parking lot, which is across the Interstate (there's a tunnel under I-81 that you can take to make it to the Stadium before kickoff). That parking lot does not require a permit, and is where visitors and non-season ticket holders tailgate.

Huh??
1 1/2 + 1 + 4 = 6 1/2, not 8 1/2.
Still not good, but not as bad as you said
