There's no positive spin to this. Hopefully the facts all come out and it isn't as bad as it sounds right now.

Wow, no one likes to see their players in legal trouble, but it happens.

The biggest problem here may be that Rocco tried to hide it, by calling it "unfinished business". I don't why he thought the best course would be to stay silent, did he really think this wouldn't come out?

I don't think Rocco is hiding anything. It is an alleged charge according to the newspaper and until he has been charged, we should presume him innocent.

I don't see it as hiding it. I see it as not throwing a player under the bus. The whole thing still had questions around it when the team left on Friday so instead of telling people his player got arrested, he told them that he had things to take care of.

You think Rocco's best course of action would be to tell the newspaper his player was arrested? That's not really his place to be publicly announcing that this guy is an idiot. Allegedly. If a newspaper finds out, fine, that's their job.

cops dont make a habit of charging people that are innocent. In fact, if you've ever had to obtain a warrant you'd know how hard it can be to show probable cause. (and rightly so).

the best outcome would be that the thing gets dealt down to a misdemeanor. I can tell you that it would be up here - unless it's more than (1) item or one freakin' expensive cellie.

although, b/c it's an LU student- that may not be enough to bring him back. Guess we'll all wait and see.

Or it gets dropped. Both could happen. We don't know the circumstances.

I'm not saying that there isn't something wrong there but I also don't think there is enough to start going done the cover up route.

agreed.

but people watch way too much TV and believe most of it.

The First 48 is accurate, other than that- forget it.

The best outcome is that justice gets done. Our football team's winning percentage is a distant second.

Sorry for what? We're getting made fun of for who we are and what we stand up for/believe. That just goes to show how disrespectful and classless your buds really are. No apology needed.
