Who is the winningest football coach in LU history?
Little known fact: I think our first head coach Rock Royer was killed in an small plane he was piloting in 1974 and John Cartwright or Gaylord Davis took over as HC. Coach Rock was an asst at Univ of Maryland and the naval academy.

Sam Rutigliano (67-53) ... next closest is Tom Dowling (33-38-2).

The premise of this thread is flawed if it is trying to stir a debate. There is cold hard evidence in the record books for the answer to this as Chris so appropriately and simply listed for us. To stir debate you should say something like who is the Best or the Worst or the coolest or some other superlative a High School Senior class might award in a year book.

When asking a historical question, how is that stirring a debate? I don't see any historical records on this site or liberty edu athletic page that would give me my answer unless I have overlooked it.
