Great article from Chris.
One thing Barber won’t do is play money games against other FCS opponents. High-level FCS programs have approached Barber recently about playing guarantee games, and he’s declined those offers.

“Our program is at a point where we don’t need to do that,” Barber said. “We’ll play anyone if they want to do a home-and-home. Villanova. Montana. Applachian State. Anybody.”

I love it. Barber is taking us in the right direction.

And since I haven't heard anything about a home and home with NOVA, App, or Montana I'm assuming they're afraid of a loss at good ol' Williams Stadium ;)

It's not so much that, as they see us as a lower level team and they are below traveling to us to play.

Agree, great direction. Could we fast forward 20 years? Can't wait!

I love this mentality! Rocco and JB are doing wonders for this program.

ehhh... I don't know.

Montana is pretty freakin' far man.

we've played 'Nova in the past, and their schedule is pretty tight with (typically) one D-IA game and then their conf schedule; not much room for more than one OOC

they have strong regional ties too, VA is sorta off the map up here.

I can't speak for App, JMU, ODU or Richmond tho- the argument may hold water there

I would so be at an LU game at Montana. I've been dying for an excuse to drag my crew back up to Missoula. I even have a free place to stay. Alas ...

Last year, Montana contacted every single CAA and Southern school about a 1+1.
