Humble TIP was at the game and got the student side fired up during the game. I think he'd be perfect for this job!

The red jacket guy is a joke. He was absolutely terrible.

whoever did it last year should still be doing it. i liked that guy. that guy got the entire student body to come 3 hours early and wait in the rain for three hours for the JMU game with his convo appeal. this guy didnt know what he was doing at the cookout and seemed to not be confident at the "home" opener either, and i cant see him ever being in convo.

The guy that did it last year is Allen sparks. He moved on and now lives in Miami, FL. One of the best motivators I have ever come across. He truly loved LU sports, and definitely did a great job getting EVERYONE into LU sports, not just football. Hopefully this guy will learn from this weekend and will only get better from here. I honestly didn't think he was THAT bad. Definitely room for improvement though.

Many on this board absolutley "killed" the last guy---Allen Sparks---when he first began leading the LU chant, before he even donned the red jacket. Lots of criticism at the time. I think it was 2007. Look it up.

LET HUMBLE TIP DO IT haha. He already works for LU anyways! I don't see any reason why he would mind. In 4 seconds he got the entire student section FIRED UP!

I can't wait til the day that we don't need a guy running out and doing that stuff.

That's probably because we all hate the idea of a guy in a red jacket trying to get us excited. It's really not gonna matter who's wearing it.

I would rather see an announcer with a HUGE booming voice simply give a big introduction. Something like: "Ladies and Gentlemen stand to your feet and welcome your 3 time Big South Champion Liberty Flames!". Simple, clean, and cool. The cheerleaders can lead the L - U chant with signs and signals.

I'm picturing some horns on this guy and laughing I don't want pretty boys leading me in chants, I want someone with a mean streak who might snap and kill someone someday.
