It looked like WSET was the only TV "media" up there today. Justin Feldkamp covered it and did interviews with Korey Davis, Chris Summers, MIke Brown, and Coach Rocco. Small turnout of player families and Flames Kids Club folks getting autographs and pics.

Here are a few that we took:

I'll bet little brother shot back with some witty response though.

With all of the activity of the weekend, this is not expected to be a huge deal in light of all of the access granted students in camp. At the big schools, they limit access greatly and these types of deals are a rare chance to get up close to the players & coaches. We have such a great relationship between the teams and its fans that it doesn't stand pout as much.

The Flames might have held their final practice of training camp yesterday morning, but training camp still had one last major item on the docket. Liberty's players, coaches and support staff all returned to the turf at Williams Stadium for their annual football media day and an opportunity to meet local fans.

The afternoon began with the squad taking its annual team photo at 2:30 p.m., in one of the new bleacher sections that was added to Williams Stadium during the summer months, as part of the Williams Stadium expansion project.

I really hope that in the future LU considers making Media Day a bigger event than it is now. There is so much more they could do to get the community involved in this event. With the direction the football program is moving in, there should be a couple hundred people at media day.
