It's looking like I may have to get to a Dinwiddie football game this year seeing as we're recruiting a couple guys from there.

He looks like he would make a good second possession option at receiver although they need to find a way to highlight him on plays better because its hard to pick him out at times

We all know how things worked out for Haywood at Pitt but here is an interesting side note ...

Dinwiddie (Va.) wide receiver Trey Gardner had a lot of interest in Miami (OH) when Mike Haywood was head coach of the RedHawks, and now he hopes Haywood carries that interest over to Pitt. Today, Gardner talks to PantherLair.com about his interest in Miami, his desire to contact to Pitt, and where he stands in his recruitment.

Right now it appears he holds offers from:
  • Bowling Green
    Delaware
    Liberty
    Miami (OH)
    NC Central
The Miami offer is probably gone with Haywood's departure.

I don't believe he ever had a Pitt offer. The story was saying he was pushing Haywood to try and get him a Big East offer since the coach supposedly liked him so much. Now that Haywood is more concerned with the judicial system then I believe that ship has sailed for good.

Wow, he verballed to Ball State of all schools over the weekend. Does anyone think there is any chance that he would choose Muncie over us if we were FBS?
