One question I have, where is Robby Cramer? Is he not coming back this year?

Not picking up some of our latest transfer additions except Gagliardi.

That could mean that they're not immediately expected to be in the two-deep and will have to battle to get in there.

Robbie is not listed on Alabamas roster.

Anyways, I find it interesting the true freshman who are listed already -
Andre Mondor as 3rd string at both Tackle positions
Greg Ray as 3rd string at both Guard positions
Ryan Mickens as the 4th RB
Gabe Henderson as the 4th QB
Dylan Bowman as 4th at DE
Scott Hyland as 3rd at DLB
Nick Sigmon as 3rd at the Mike LB
Matthew Baptiste as 3rd at JLB
Randy Spann and Jacob Hagen at Safety
Also, Kenny Scott listed as a CB.

I can't imagine any of those guys not being redshirted.

I think Sigmo should not be redshirted because (barring any transfers) he will start at the Mike next year. Gotta get the kid some experience.
Other than that, I see no reason for anyone to not be redshirted.

How about Eric Fath the TE from PA?

Or that the paperwork hasn't been completed and they're not even on the roster yet.

As far as Sigmon is concerned, if they look at him as being good enough to start next year, then they are probably also looking at him being a 4 year starter. I don't think they will waste a year of eligibility giving him some snaps at garbage time behind Bolt and Brown. A lot of redshirt freshmen step in and start. If either of those players get hurt, I would think all bets are off.

I don't think he's playing, just that he was home sick and wanted to move home and transferred there.

That certainly explains why we have been actively recruiting long snappers when we thought we had a 4 year starter in Cramer. That's a big loss, especially when you have an all-american kicker. As good as Matt is, it's most definately a 3 man team getting those kicks off cleanly. Thankfully we also have Mike holding. With his quickness and hands, he'll get any decent snap down, and if we get any really bad ones, who better to turn them into something positive running or passing.

well we have two or three long snappers on the roster so we shall see who wins the job starting tomorrow

I believe he's injured (knee?)
EDIT: checked on here and could only find a couple posts about a cartilage damage and a scope being scheduled. That was last August.

I didnt see Curry on there either. I figured he would factor into the WR and kick return mix

My thoughts exactly about him! His paperwork is probably not completed and maybe he has other issues to deal with before hes gets here such as NCAA related issues. Just speculating I do not have any insider info.

I wouldn't put much stock in whether true freshmen appear on that depth chart or not. Henderson is listed at QB, and they definately plan on redshirting him. Same with Sigmon at MLB. Most of the newcomers aren't on the chart, but that doesn't mean there are "issues". We have pretty good depth at both WR and KR, so I think there is a good chance Curry will redshirt too. Practice hasn't started yet. At this time last year we had no idea what we would get out of Aldreakis Allen, and he ended up being our leading rusher.

Yeah, if you go and look at the roster from last year, under Aldreakis' info from the coaches' it says he will be a valuable member of the scout team.

According to Chris Lang via Twitter
According to his father, former LU long snapper Robby Cramer has transferred to Alabama. He'll redshirt in Tuscaloosa this fall.

I wish Robby well and I hope he's happier back closer to home. BTW practice starts today at 2:15 pm. Looking forward to see what these guys are going to do this year. I hope we can make a deep run into the playoffs.

So uh, any word on Curry, his name is still missing from the roster and all the other freshman are now listed on there. This kid was def one of the top 2 or 3 recruits we had, im hoping that's just an error.

Where the heck is Tracy Curry anyway? Did he bail on us like Seth did? He probably did want to get a haircut and were just waiting on him to do that in order for his admission package to continue through admissions and the registrar.
Any ways, and in all seriousness wonder what happened to him? Maybe BJ or Lang could give us the inside scope on this. I am just partial to this guy and I have a hunch that he will make an great impact the team in the future. I just hate to sound like a sound like a whiner
