North Hall football coach Bob Christmas called Thursday morning from high in the hills of East Tennessee to let me know that TE D.J. Miolen, a senior, picked up an offer from Georgia Southern University. According to Christmas, the Eagles are recruiting Miolen (6-3, 252 pounds) as either a tight end or defensive end.

Already, Miolen has offers from Air Force, Citadel, Liberty, Southern Illinois and Western Carolina, according to Rivals.com.

Miolen made the trip to the Air Force campus last weekend and was ready to commit to the Falcons at the end of his weekend trip.
