I really like the flames on the uni...I do not like the LU on the jersey though and I somewhat like the hemets that they already have.

Honest opinion: The uniform is interesting. I definitely like the Flames logo on the helmets better than "LU." I like the uniforms we have now better. Then again, it might be better if it were red not blue...

I'm with ya postie, I love the flame logo but it's just so easy to screw up. The main thing I would change about this picture up top is the color scheme. We have 3 school colors but in general only 2 are used on a uniform (3 is too busy). I'd prefer if one of the 2 colors is white.

Do anyone think that LU would ever go back with a throwback version of the UNi's? from the 80's-90's or so? Montana did that with the sweet potato color they had a couple of years ago and I actually it looked great. Just an Idea ? Discuss!

Doubt it with the throw backs... unless they get some random funding for it, cause that wouldn't be too cheap. Especially to only wear once or twice.

BJ, I know Willie was posting a bunch of different uni's, but honestly, I'm not diggin these. The flames on the side are sweet, and the blue color is great, but the front is very bland for how much is going on with the sides. And I'd like to see some kind of Flames logo on the helmet/front of jersey instead of the LU. Like the idea, but bad turnout.

If we could play with a really dark sky (with individual top lighting on each helmet) and mist on the field all the time, this design would be pretty bad...um...tail.

Wow I love the flames on the sides of this uni. Change the helmet logo to the sparky one to get an older looking logo, and that is an amazing looking uniform.

RocketFan would be disgusted at this sacrilege. Say what you want about our current logo, but it's a heck of alot better than "LU". It's either redo everything with actual Flames (fire), or keep the current logo because it's clean, unique, and not a copy of some other lame NFL/other college team's logo.

It is funny that you would mention that idea. Count me among those who like the current logo a great deal. But I'm not that crazy about it on our helmets. If you think of some of the more distinctive helmets designs in both the NFL and college football they often add to the theme of the team and not necessarily to a specific logo. With our unique name, having some fire on the helmet would be distinctive. Yeah, I know it borders on cheesy. But I guess I enjoy the taste of cheese from time to time.

I love the logo and I don't think anybody was saying anything different...but the problem with the logo is it doesn't look as good on a helmet..I don't know why, but it just doesn't. I love it in the middle of our field though, it looks great.

RF had a major UNPAID role in designing the current logo while a student at LU, that's why my previous comment might have sounded a bit stronger than intended. Just making sure credit is given where credit is due. As for me, I like our logo, but I'd be interested in other helmet designs. Blue helmets with the number 71 in white with three red stars running vertically in the numbers 7 and 1,...I know, a bit of a rip from other colleges that I spoke against earlier, but completely unique to us.

I'm not an artist, nor do I pretend to be. But if there is some spare time here at work today, I'll see what I can't do. It may end up looking like some childs finger painting, but hey, I'll give it a shot if there's time.

I like the classic white helmet look w/o much on them. I would like a white helmet with red/blue LU on the sides.

And for the record, there were a number of our posters involved in that project both paid & unpaid. And let me reiterate that I am a big fan of the design ... just not on the helmet.
