What's going on?

It's probably cause there's already an entire thread about it in the non-LU sports forum.

So what? Is space on the message board scarce?

This forum is for LU football related topics. Moderators regularly move or close threads which belong in another forum. Since there was already an active thread on that subject in the appropriate forum (non LU sports), they apparently decided to close it rather than cause confusion by moving it . It's nothing personal.

Thanks for an explanation. I'm not taking it personal. I've just never been on a message board that randomly locks posts without an explanation.

And it wasn't random. If you went to Wal-Mart and started moving things around on the shelves, the workers would move them back to where they belong. It's not random, it's just how things work.

I haven't counted how many I've been on--perhaps five. Does it matter if it's three, four, or five?

Anyway, you're right. It might not be random to whoever's doing it. But it seems random to me since I didn't even know there was a "non-LU sports" section until someone mentioned it.

And your analogy is weak. If I moved stuff around at Wal-Mart, the workers wouldn't glue the stuff in the wrong place to the wrong place and refuse to allow anyone to do anything with it or to give an explanation for why they did that. They would move it to the right place. No one moved my post to the "right place." They just locked it, apparently in the "wrong place."

We already had one in the right place, in the forum about non-LU sports.

You made one we didn't need, so it was effectively trashed. It's really nothing to be upset or concerned about at all, and I'm sorry you find the need to punch a hole in everyone's explanation to you to try and give you some closure on what seems to be a very sensitive issue for you.

And I asked how many message boards you've been on, since, really, this happens everywhere. It's how message boards work. FlameFans isn't persecuting you.

We hope you stick around, but try not to make a big deal out of something so basic to the rules and the basic operations of the board. Check out the FAQ's and rules, and if you still feel you're being treated unfairly, take it up with someone with a red letter name. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the show.
