Just had a quick trivia question for all of you LU sports aficionados... What's the real name of LU's #1 fan? Our office is trying to figure this out and any help would be much appreciated!

Wow, thank you for the quick response everybody! Is there any way we can find an exact spelling? Isn't he a member of TRBC as well?

We're wondering what is name is because some people (alumni for the most part) are organizing a proposal to present to the athletic department (Jeff Barber). Let me run it by you all and see what you think... I know that there are many alumni here and y'all are pretty passionate and involved.

With the new construction going on with the football field, wouldn't it be a fitting tribute to name a section of the new seats after Liberty's #1 fan? Perhaps even displaying a series of pictures of him through the years as he supported the flames, or a plaque? In the world of college sports, not much lasts more than 4 or 5 years, but this man is the exception if there ever was one. Not only has he been incredibly loyal to the school - going to nearly every sporting event imaginable - but he's known to almost everybody else who has ever attended a game. Think about it, he might not be around much longer (does anybody know his age?), and wouldn't it be powerful if he was recognized on the field sometime during the next couple of years?

Anyway, maybe you guys could give that idea some consideration and get behind it. It'd be great if something like this came from the students/alumni. Let me know your thoughts and ideas.
