Brown led Liberty in rushing and receiving and scored three touchdowns to lead the Flames past Gardner-Webb, 51-28. He caught 10 passes for a school-record 198 yards -- the fourth-highest single-game total in Big South history, and scored on an 80-yard pass play that broke the game open. He rushed 11 times for 52 yards and two first quarter scores that gave Liberty an early 14-7 lead. Brown finished the day with 265 all-purpose yards in helping the Flames secure at least a share of the Big South football championship with one week remaining.

Barring a bizarre turn of events, Mike should win offensive POY hands down. He's won the weekly award 3 times. Dolittle is the only other contender who has won it twice. If I'm not mistaken, Maypray was the pre-season choice, and he hasn't won the weekly yet. Anyone but Mike will be a travisty IMHO.

Are you talking about this Mike Brown? He did have a great game against our boys and certainly deserves the honor. It was painfully obvious that the game was over after he scored on that 80 yd quick slant pass. Good luck to you guys the rest of the season and I hope it's longer than 1 more game.
