Yea I know it's a lot of ifs, but I'm just curious as I try to understand the Committee's thinking.

So, we all know this years scenario: IF we beat SB up there, we are 9-2 (8-2 without the DII Win). the losses are to a now inelligable JMU team and FBS WVU. We are all saying that we are still on the outside looking in without quite a bit of help.

Everyone keeps saying that IF we had beaten JMU, we would have been in. I agree that if we are sitting at 11-1 at the end of the year with the only loss to WVU, we are in. But, my question is this: IF we had beaten JMU here, but loss to Laffy on the road, is the senario any different? I say no.

I think JMU carries a certain reputation that would certainly have helped us get in had we won. They have been a constant stay at the top of their conference. While Laffy is certainly on the rise, they don't carry the same credability.

Beating JMU makes them sub .500 and not in the top 25 if everything else held true.

Losing to Lafayette means they still aren't PL champs, and the loss looks bad.

I'd say we're in a slightly worse situation hypothetically.

OK, good. That's what I was thinking. I just wonder how all the politics works sometimes.
