A couple of interesting Big South notes.

If Charleston Southern beats Coastal Carolina next week and Liberty beats Stony Brook, CSU will be the #2 team in the Big South. Who had that pick at the start of the season. That program (not including their facilities) could be on the rise. Their early season FBS matchups seemed to prepare them and not beat them up for the Big South this year.

VMI had the ball in Army territory in the last 2 minutes of the game only down by 5 points. They almost came away with a Big South win against an FBS team.

Army is pretty bad. If it had been us instead of VMI, I think we get the W. Now that I think about it, wouldn't it be GREAT if we could schedule a game against any of the military academies?? I would love it!

Not Air Force. I don't wanna play Air Force. Army and Navy, on the other hand, would be a lot of fun.

CSU moved up 23 points in the Sagarin this week.

Also, in case you didn't know, margin of victory is part of the Sagarin ratings.

With that being said, I am reminded of a great quote from a great movie:

"Run it up, Herman. Leave no doubt."

I'm not saying because I think we would beat them. I just HATE losing to Air Force. My Ram background gives me a certain level of disdain for them, and the fact that we aren't really in a position to beat them at this point would just make things frustrating. Imagine playing Oklahoma in football.
