Good to see the boys again explode in teh second half but they really need to take care of things in the first 30 minutes so they wont HAVE to keep having these huge second half runs.

Also one bit of bad news...LU has never won a game in the state of NY

The fumble recovery on the last play may factor in our FF game predictions. That makes the turnover margin +2.

I was thinking the same thing. They never said on the audio feed if we actually recovered, just that the ball was knocked loose and the clock expired.

Few Thoughts

Best game in a Liberty Uniform for Beecher, no doubt

Great to get Mike Brown broken free in a big way

Holloway made some punishing runs, could be a great thunder and lightning combo for the future. The best run was called back by a Bishop hold

Defense didnt play as bad in the 1st half as the box score says. Our kick coverage needs to tighten up.

We have 2 phenominal kickers

Now with this win and the Stony Brook loss LU has claimed at least a share of the Big South Championship...

Sharing a BSC title is worthless. Even if we win next week, it means nothing unless we make the playoffs. Except maybe some bragging rights, which still is not worth much of anything. It will next year though, that is for sure.

I disagree. Sure, our goal is to be in the playoffs, but a third straight conference championship is not worthless. Of course, we plan on winning it outright again because....................................

WE DON'T WANT NO STINKIN CO-CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!

Winning the Big South title is not worthless. That is the only thing that Liberty can control. Playoffs depend on two many outside factors. You are potentially setting yourself up for a serious disappointment if making the playoffs is your only mark of success.

Well we need to take care of business next week and leave no question of a co-championship...but as I said before, LU has never won in the state of NY

Past trips to NY have nothing to do with next weeks game against Stony Brook. 3rd Big South championship and a potential shot at the playoffs are on the line. The team will be ready to play.

Regardless, another good win by Liberty. One thing that hasn't really been mentioned: *IF* we win out, it think, in addition to our record and our history, I would hope that the Festivus Committee takes into account that we're one of the highest scoring teams in the nation. That superlative only bodes well for us.

Congrats on that huge road win, fellas. SBU will be ready after that result at Chuck South (I wonder if the attendance there reached 2,500?).

A good sign of a winning team is overcoming big play scores early. Last week, the long pass by Hughes. Today, the kickoff return, and Hall had a long run also. The 80 yarder to Brown was the clincer, it seems.

Again, great road win for LU.

beej..easy with the stat. as others have said it means nothing. Winning the Big South title is nto worthless. ask Coach Rocco. that is the first goal. i would love to see two solid halves but that was clearly the best the team has played offensively. congrats to the coaches and players.

Coach's said this last year when we knew we had at least a share or the title and he said it again this year:

All we have right now is a jacket and a chicken dinner. We have to win next week for a ring.

Im pretty sure I just need to go back to verify but Id love to see the boys put that to bed and hold up another outright champions trophy on another team's field next Saturday.

It doesn't matter how many times we lost in New York before Coach Rocco got here. There have been plenty of things that we hadn't done in ___ years or had never done that have been changed since Rocco got here.

I think some people have misunderstood me... Winning the BSC is an important goal to reach, but it is not the end. All I'm saying is that, since our BSC title doesn't get us into the playoffs, what is it good for, other than showing we're dominant in this conference? If we win next week, we will show to everyone that we are still the best in a pretty bad conference. Everyone wants to see LU in the playoffs, especially those of us that saw us beat Elon last year, which gave us a false belief that we were in. Since we showed we can beat top talent, our (at least my) expectations raise a little higher. Don't get me wrong, I want us to win the title outright with no questions ask, but more than that, I want to see LU in the playoffs. If we win next week and don't get in the playoffs, sure I'll be disappointed, it will not ruin my world, but I think we all will be a little frustrated, especially after come close last year. Next year, the BSC title will mean so much more. Hopefully I've made my point a little more clear....

51-28 win on the road = awesome! 24-0 in second half = great adjustments and amazing D!

I was at this game, Loved it!

MIke Brown clearly needs to stay at WR more, he tends to scramble outside the pocket to make his throws, hint, he has not much vision, a good team would pick him apart.

He is a great athlete but QB is not his calling, wr or rb he is at his best.

Beecher whole, what a nice ball, when allowed enough time, he can pick those teams apart!

O-line protect him, if you want that national title.

I would also say, its not good to keep beecher out 2downs and then put him in for a 3rd and long, how can he have rhythym.

Leave your playmakers on the field!
