I was just reading through the News & Notes from the VMI game, and it’s amazing how high we’re ranked in some of these statistical categories especially for such a young team.

3rd longest conference win streak – 15 games
9th longest FCS win streak – 5 games
#3 in filling stadium capacity
#5 in total attendance
#2 in team rushing touchdowns
#4 in scoring offense
#3 in fewest passes intercepted
#3 in fewest fumbles
#1 in turnover margin
#3 in interceptions
#4 in red zone offensive efficiency (scored on 31 straight red zone trips)
#4 in red zone defensive efficiency
#16 in scoring defense
#13 in average yards per kickoff return
#5 in punt return yardage defense

This one is the most important, and what we should be really proud of for our team.

lets not forget to thank VMI for that one. sure our D caused a couple, but lets be real... VMI gifted 1 or 2 of their own to us.

LU was fifth in TO margin before the game. VMI helped vault the Flames to the top, but they were pretty good in that category to begin with.
