I'm somewhat stunned to be honest. i was actually somewhat disappointed and a bit worried at the half because we had pretty much dominated them, and were only up 10, with them getting the second half kickoff. Obviously, I had no reason to worry.

Wow! I did not expect to play this well. The week off did us some good and we looked like the team many of us expected. Fan the flames. A. Allen fan club!

My gut reaction to the win.

Wow run game showed up big time aldrekis looks like our guy and first time broggin touched the ball he goes the distance.

Beecher looked great today. He didn't throw a td but I don't think we should be worried about that.

We have mike brown for 2 more years... Think about that.

Summers has established himself as a deep threat

Defense especially secondary really showed up. 4 ints and more sacks than I can count is a really good sign

I was impressed with the second and third strings showed we have some talent up and coming

over all great showing by the flames today!

and Chris Summers, and BJ Hayes, and Larry Claiborne, and Brandon Robinson, and Asa Chapman.

and SirChauney and Aldreakis for 3 more.

I said it before, and let it be know I'm the first (and 2nd) to say:

Liberty Flames - 2011 FCS National Champs.

I'm still dreaming when I say that btw.

I saw someone said something in the game thread about the alumni not showing up or we would have had a record crowd. WAY WRONG! The baptist side was as full as I've seen in the past 3 years, and I've been over there for every game the past 3. Normally there are a couple empty seats on my row, but not today. We were packed in there like sardines. And the GA sections looked as full as ever. The only thing I was dissapointed in today was the number of students who showed up. There were about 1000-1500 (at least) less than there have been all season.

My row was empty this week. It was completely full the first week. Also, what a game! That was fun to watch.

Total domination in the second half from LU...I was a little worried about the run game in the first half but they just exploded in the second...and Tommy Beecher had a number of very nice throws tonight...that reverse pass was absolutely sick...and I think the defense really smelled blood in the water after the interception and then when we scored the TD to make it 30-6...that I think was what started the feeding frenzy

Showing class: The Coastal bird going to the Liberty fans (student side) and congratulating them.
LU students showing class: Clapping for Coastal once they scored their first TD

The coastal carolina's mascot tweeted this after the game. "Embarassing...Big ups to Liberty. I applaud you. same to the fans"

Much better than a couple of years ago when he and sparky almost got in a fight haha

I believe that this result marks the largest margin of victory for LU in a Big South Conference game ever

the Coastal bird was making a lot of sexual references to us during the game so he gained a lot of respect by coming over and shaking hands with us

and yea we aren't d bags so we felt it is what they deserved for some hard work to score a touchdown

great game by our guys and our rushing team deserves offense player of the week in the Big South

Yes. And Coastal's largest margin of defeat. Also, the 42 points in the second half came in a 14:44 span. Ridiculous.

Lang's pregame comments. :beatinghorse
2. Hate to beat on a dead horse here, but Liberty’s run game better get it going today, because the Flames aren’t going to be able to pick apart this Coastal secondary. The Chanticleers are loaded a cornerback and the Flames will have to fight for yardage on the perimeter. If Liberty can’t control the ball on the ground, it’s going to be a long day.

Haha. I'd say some of the run-game questions were answered emphatically today.

This game was absolutely incredible. I feel sorry for the people sitting in front of us who seem to have left at half time, but I have to say I had a ton of fun tonight.

GA was full but the $$ seats were about only about half full. I know several people who were scared off by the weather reports. These people are now dead to me.
