I'm hearing great things from those who have watched him in camp. We knew they kid is ultra-athletic. But the general feeling I'm getting from folks is that he may be another of Rocco's recruiting steals.

yea, but does he redshirt? The Rocco tradition says he redshirts most if not all Freshmen. But we've already heard he may keep Pat Kelly, one or more of the RBs, and one of the Big boys to play this year. So will he keep this kid active too?

He redshirts players if they aren't ready to play and can't make a significant impact. Alreakis Allen can make a significant impact.

From what I've seen he looks like a beast and could be that big body at the RB position that we lost with Rashad... He will definitely play this year, and I would venture to say he may be starting by the end of the year. Think of the Brock Smith verses Brock Ferrell situation from Karcher's crew 5 seasons ago. We start the upperclassmen with experience, but the young, very talented freshman will end up starting the last 4 games or so... I think we may see something like this with the RB position this season.

Apparently Aldreakis has packed on 20 pounds of muscle in the past year or so and goes about 225 now. With our other backs being on the smallish side, I'm thinking he will definately play in short yardage situations if nothing else.

He was used as a slot receiver in high school and didn't run the ball very much, but when he did run the ball he averaged almost 10 yards a carry.
