"It's fun," said Hazel, who already has scholarship offers on the table from Western Michigan University and Liberty University. Hazel is also starting to hear from South Carolina, South Carolina State and North Carolina State. "It helps me get more exposed to colleges. We have more options to spread the ball out. We don't have to rely on one guy to make plays."

North Augusta’s Matt Hazel was one of 4 Augusta area players selected to play in the prestigious 2009 Shrine Bowl on December. 19 in Spartanburg. Hazel leads the Yellow Jackets with 57 catches and 12 touchdowns.
