That's what is was. He wasn't happy here.

This is certainly an unfortunate development. I think everybody (including our resident scribe) had him as possibly starting on either side of the ball. I don't think this makes LB a weakness now but it certainly does hurt.

BJ, this just isn't smart.

a) There's no way Jamal was playing offense.

b) He likely wasn't going to start unless someone at OLB got hurt.

Gotcha. I meant that he could be at either side linebacker (bad word choice on my part). Also, considering the rash of injuries that we've been having that probably would not have been a long shot. If nothing else he certainly would have seen the field. What do you think the chances are he ends up at ODU?

I hate to see him go. I really enjoyed watching him play, and I do wish him well in his future.

My guess is Norfolk State.

That's his only in-state option.

The timing was a bit weird. If he wasn't happy, why would he have waited until now? My guess he was either a) waiting for acceptance at Norfolk State or b) he realized he wasn't going to get as much playing time as he thought?
