There is no offseason for Zach Glass.

The blue-chip football recruit is entering his final fall at Stuarts Draft High School, making this his last chance to impress college scouts who have been tracking his progress since he was a freshman.

The 6-foot, 3½-inch tight end/lineman hit 236 pounds this summer – mostly muscle — and he dropped his 40-yard dash time to 4.8 seconds, a magic combination for a player looking to continue his football career at the NCAA’s highest level.
Here is where we come into the picture ...
Glass said he has received interest from Penn State, the University of Virginia, the University of Maryland, Virginia Tech and Liberty.
And does this name ring a bell for any of the Old Hags?
As the letters from colleges flow in, Glass’ father, Jim, who played at Liberty University in the ’70s, tries to stay out of his son’s future — though he admits it isn’t always easy.

“It’s tough sometimes to not be an influence,” Jim Glass said. “It’s got to be what is the right fit for him and not what appeals to me.”

Glass said his father offers advice and helps him make informed decisions.

“I know whatever I choose to do, he is always there for me,” he said. “I know if I decide I don’t want to play college football, he’d support me. It really helps. It numbs a lot of pressure to know you would be loved no matter what you do.”

And here is a bit of the evaluation on the ESPN Insiders site:
Glass has experience on the interior of the defensive line in high school and as a defensive tackle is how he may fit best at the college level. He does not have great listed bulk for the defensive tackle position, but comes across on film as a fairly thickly built kid and should be able to add more size to his frame.
