This is probably the least talked about as far as positions this year. Corey Rasberry finished as a second team selection after redshirting in 2007. Here's how it breaks down:

Lost:

Corey Rasberry Panama City, FL (Graduation)

Returning:

Ryan Culkin Redshirt Junior Indian Rocks Beach, FL
Dominique Jones Redshirt Senior San Diego, CA
Will Quarles Redshirt Senior Richmond, VA
Tommy Shaver Redshirt Sophomore Hot Springs, VA

The TE for LU really has served more as a 6th blocker on the line and occasional pass catcher over the years, but as mentioned before, Corey Rasberry last year finished as a second team all Big South selection and finishing 6th in total receptions with 15. Dominique Jones converted from the basketball team to the football team as a walk on a couple years ago and will probably compete with Quarles and Shaver for time at TE. One thing that Shaver has going for him is that he is a very big target for whoever the QB for Liberty will be and could certainly make for matchup problems for linebackers if sent on a pattern.

Discuss FFers, and as always if any information I have posted is in error, feel free to mention so that I can update accordingly

I've said it countless times but it bears repeating:

the value of a good tight end is seriously underestimated

Tell that to any dude you arrest.....should help keep repeat offenders to a minimum.

I think that Itll be between Shaver,Jones and Quarles for TE and Id actually venture that Shaver could end up with the starting job come the opener

You've certainly narrowed it down there, BJ.

I agree with you Medic. I really hope Streeter throws the TEs in the mix a little more.

your sarcasm is appreciated Lib...Shaver could end up starting over Quarles in my estimation but having three guys who all could contribute certainly isnt a bad problem to have
