Southside senior offensive lineman Chris Dolan is trying to prove to he can play major college football. He took a step in the right direction this weekend, winning the Offensive Lineman MVP Award at the Schuman National Underclassman Combine at Tulsa.
“It was great,” Dolan said. “There were a lot of great defensive lineman I went one-on-one against. Some of them supposedly have been offered, so I was excited about it. I’m glad I was able to compete and glad I won (the award).”
Not a bad looking kid ... of course this is a highlite video. He seems to understand the zone blocking system very well. Does a great job of blocking down and "washing" defensive players out of the play. Handles the pass rush well, but technique needs improvement. Has trouble "stalking" LB's. Good strength and a lot of upside. I would see him more as a pulling guard type.

I like this kid. He would be a good fit for Liberty.

Apparently he has also picked up another offer from a Baptist school ... Ouchita Baptist in Arkansas. In case you are wondering, it is pronounced Wah-CHEE-tah.

In Spanish, maybe, but in Arkansas, it is WAH-shi-tah

I worked with a bunch of Ouachita alumni at my most recent job and they tended to mention the accent on second syllable. But since you Okies are so tight with the Arkies, I'll take your word for it.
And for our East Coast friends, the name is not Spanish but Native American.

From Wiki:
The university is named for the Ouachita (pronounced Wash'-uh-taw) River, which forms the eastern campus boundary.
It's also the alma mater of Mike Huckabee and former LU prof. Dr. Greg Comfort, who played football for them in the 1970s.
