1. Liberty- Too strong and physical for the rest of the league
2. Stony Brook- Two good running backs and good coaching staff
3. VMI- This is the year they have some upperclassmen, so they will be better than people think
4. Gardner Webb- They always fade late
5. Coastal Carolina- Anemic offense and unorganized defense
6. PC- Actually have themselves a real football coach
7. CSU- Soft as cotton

At long last, yes, we do. Hopefully, this one will not have a blog.
7. CSU- Soft as cotton
Now, that's funny right there I don't care who you are.

I might flip 2-4 around a little but, by Zeus, I think you've got it.

Liberty- Can we say "Threepeat ?"
Stony Brook- Dual threat in the backfield
VMI- Should have a strong showing over last year
CCU- Wasn't sure if they would be 3rd or 4th
PC- My upset pick
GW- Don't really know much about them this year
CSU- There program doesn't really have any glimmers of hope this year

1. Liberty – to be the champ, you have to beat the champ
2. VMI – returns nearly everyone and has a favorable conference schedule
3. Stony Brook – Solid running game and defense, biggest threat to dethrone LU
4. Gardner Webb – enough talent to stay out of cellar, chokes too often to sit on the throne
5. Coastal Carolina – Defense is still a year or two away from having them compete for a championship
6. Charleston Southern – Just not enough to compete
7. Presby – in complete rebuild mode this year, could pull an upset though

It's a little early to be throwing that around.

Agreed, and this could probably be a thread unto itself but would 3 years be considered a dynasty?

Liberty
SBU
CCU
GWU
VMI
Presby
CSU

I am not sold on VMI. I think 2009 VMI football is like 2008-2009 CSU basketball. Everyone thought they would be good, but they just won't impress.

we can start saying dynasty when we are as good as UCLA was in Basketball under John Wooden.

If we win 10 Championships in 12 years then we can say dynasty not until then though

I think the fact VMI is in the conversation is a major improvement for them.

maybe a bit, but still thats what i think of when i think dynasty, not the Pats, not the Spurs, but UCLA... we got to at least win i would say 6 or 7 in 8 years

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? That's the ONLY way I'll make it through these summer months...I was hoping it was part of his contract

I guess that means there has been one dynasty in the history of college sports?

well i mean who else has won 5 in a row or something, unless you consider something like winning 3 in 4 or 3 in 5 as a dynasty

FOR FANS OF OTHER TEAMS:

The previous post was made by a 14-year-old girl. I'm serious. I am not joking. Take it for what it's worth.

1. Liberty- The last few years have shown that this isnt the LU of old...
2. Stony Brook- I like what everybody has said. Itll be probably a race between us and the Seawolves for the Big South
3. VMI- They still are capable of puttin an awful lot of points on the board and with experience they have a chance to make soem noise
4. Gardner-Webb- They can stay in the top half but theyve been steady declining since theyre early championships
5. Presbyterian- Coaching changes can do one of two things...make a team better or make a team worse (which is pretty simplistic I will admit) I think that Coach Nichols can do good things in Clinton. I dont think theyll have the kind of instantaneous change LU did when Coach Rocco came but I think they have a chance to definitely do good things and maybe get to the top half of the standings next year
6. Coastal Carolina- The Chants were once the class of the conference but looks like the beach roosters wont be crowing about any championships anytime soon
7. Charleston Southern- Oh what the heck...this team stinks...I look for 1-3 wins this year

BJ, did you pick PC up there just to be different or do you honestly think they have a chance to be that good?

I think they can make some noise with the triple option. They wont make the top half but I think theyll win a few games, maybe pull off a couple surprises in conference (just not at Williams Stadium).
