Quite a testiment to Mike's leadership skills to be named a captain as a Sophomore.

People don't realize how much he learned under Brock his first year here. Mike comes from a great family and was smart to begin with, then he had Brock to learn under his first two years. Add all of that to his position coach being an ACC quarterback and you've got the making of a good leader.

I think Mike will be a great captain for us. And with his C Status, I see him being our QB. I just don't see him being a WR/ utility guy like he was last year...

agreed, many people think that beecher is going to be great just because he dropped down to 1aa but the truth is its hard for a qb to come into a school with one year and learn the playbook and the schemes and all so im going with mike playing qb but we will see

yeah I just think its going to be hard for him to beat out Mike. I think Mike has the potential to be great for us...

I think Mike Brown is the man for the QB slot this year, HOWEVER; unlike a lot of people on this board I have seen Beecher play and he is very, very good. While "I Like MIke" I wouldn't be surprised at all if Beecher became the #1 QB.

Yup...I 100% believe Beecher will be our opening day QB

I don't know who will end up as our starter in the fall, but if it is not Mike Brown it will have no effect on his captaincy or his leadership role on the team. If Beecher or Landis win the QB job, Mike will be a stud WR and wildcat QB, and a TEAM LEADER.
Noone has commented on Landis' play yesterday. I thought he looked good, and he definately showed he can be a running threat himself.

Ya that suprised me a bit. He proved to be pretty mobile in the pocket.

If you have ever watched Spencer play it shouldn't have surprised you that he can run. He is a good mobile quarterback. But I just think Mike gives us more of a threat. Spencer will be a passer that can run if necessary. I think if Mike works on his accuracy, he will be as big of a threat passing as he is running and that is scary!
