This guy transferred in sometime in January from a Division III school up in Indiana. He walked on right away at WR. He doesn't have incredible height, and he is listed as a slot receiver. But, rumor has it that this guy can play, and is a legitimate threat to start in the fall...

we did so well with all guards in basketball this last year that coach Rocco wants to see how it turns out in football with all WR's. He's hoping that even if we go 0-12 well garner enough media attention to make the playoffs

I think this shows that Mike Brown is really going to be given a chance at QB

I didn't wanna say it... but yeah. Spence is the man but I think this influx of WR's shows that Mike is ready to take the reigns, or at least that he will be given every opportunity to.

He's the future. After this year, Brown and Brennan will be the only QB's here, so Brown will probably hold onto the starting job until he leaves or Brennan takes it from him.

I don't see t how Landis wouldn't be QB? He will the senior right? He's had the most time in the system.

yeah but then there would only be one year with Brennan. I think the competition for starting QB isnt done and wont be done for a while (not saying I think Brennan will be the starter next year) But isnt that what you want anyways?

You have to remember that Brennan redshirted this year so he's got a full four years left.

And Mike Brown has three full years left. Leaving one for Tyler if Mike holds the starting job. Which was his point...

No problemo. Mike got here the same time as me. Redshirted in 07, played in 08.

Definitely. I think it will be an interesting spring with the WRs vying to replace Bolden and Crawford. Also, who knows what the running game will be like, so we'll need some good guys at WR. I'm also hoping they'll utilize the tight ends a little more.

I, too, am a big fan of the tight end.

Me too. Hoping for a good spring performance from Tommy Shaver and the other TEs on the team.
