Apparently he had a terrific camp experience this past week.

Getting ready to start his junior season. He has the potential be much better than good. He's been camping at the big boys all summer thankfully with one exception.

He just received an invite for the Ultimate 100 National Combine put on by Rivals in Florida in a couple of weeks. Pretty big honor after impressing them at the regional level.
Yes, he did camp at LU this summer.

He flew up from Texas to make an unofficial visit this past fall.

Absolutely. As I mentioned earlier, he camped this summer and he is most certainly a Liberty-type kid. His dad is my pastor.

Then there is absolutely no reason this kid shouldn't go to LU. Do work Sly!!!

I think its safe to say that we have a shot at just about anybody...I mean the kid made an unofficial visit so that should at least bode well

He has transferred back to the Christian school where he started high school. And now Rivals finally has us on his list of schools.

Fleming threw for 345 yards, seven touchdowns and an interception through the Cougars’ first three games; he hopes to play college football for Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Evangel Christian in Springfield, Mo. or Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.

How is that even a choice. FCS or.... SWBC (I don't know what they are)

I'm thinking as long as he's good enough, he'll be here. If his choices are all Christian schools, we're the obvious option if he's DI talent.

I mean...I get we want Christian athletes and all but...Is he the kind of talent we're looking for???

Its funny you guys would bring this up. I talked to his dad last night and the chances of him ending up in Flames gear are very high.
A collarbone injury his sophomore season and a coach's decision to go to a run-oriented offense last fall hurt Jonathan's recruiting chances. But a transfer and an opportunity to excel this fall in a passing offense have certainly raised some eyebrows.
Yes, his career goals make a school like ours very attractive. So when you add in football Liberty makes a great deal of sense. I am certainly pulling for it to happen.
He's camped at Liberty and as a result is sold on the LU experience.

Seems to me that he's really been flying under the radar. If he's had 2 bad seasons he needs a relatively good season this year to go play somewhere. Best wishes to him.
Go Flames!

He has signed with DII powerhouse Abilene Christian. I would have loved to have seen him in Flames gear but I'm glad he has a scholie and a chance to play.
