Hoover High deep snapper Robby Cramer committed to Division I-AA Liberty University after turning down offers to walk on at SEC schools Mississippi State and South Carolina.

"Liberty U. was very impressive, from coaches to facilities," said Gary Cramer, the athlete's father and the FCA area representative at the University of Alabama. "They have most of the stuff we have at Bama in the training room, locker room, etc. The biggest difference is their stadium only seats 15,000, but they sell out each week and are expanding their new stadium."

This is a position that hasn't gotten a lot of attention, but that's because we have been so solid there for years with Pope. You only notice the long snapper if he's bad. Here's to 4 years of obscurity for young Mr. Cramer!

Is this the same Hoover High that has been featured on MTV's 2 a day's? If so, my wife will love this commit

Well, that's great news. I've worked so hard to get her to be a football fan, and last year it finally paid off. Just recently though she said without Rashad, Brock, & Zack that she didn't know any of the other players and wasn't excited about the upcoming season. I think Robby has a new #1 fan

The bio from the SIDs talks about his parents both being LU grads and his dad being captain of our soccer team back in the day.

Did anybody catch this from the article up above:
