Rashad was a 4.7 after his sophomore year.

so... Its still not fast for a RB... It's fast for a FB or a TE, but kinda slow for a RB.

I agree it's a little bit slow. However, 40 times are slightly overrated for running backs. And I'd be willing to bet once he got in our program a year or two he'd shave .2 off of that, if not more.

You really can't compare a guy who is 5'9" 170 with Rashad.
On the other hand, Dre Barnes was about that size as a Freshman, and didn't have a great 40 time either. What he had was elusive quickness, tenacity, great balance and explosive leg strength, and that was enough to make him a fixture in the backfield from day 1.

My comparison was meant that a kid can get a lot better under our weight program in a year or two.
Spring of 06 he ran a 4.7.
Spring of 08 he ran a 4.4 flat.
Verbal Confirmed

Kevin is not slow. He was timed with a hurt ankle. Last fall at the shrine bowl combine he ran a 4.38

I was hoping this thread would get some action after the highlight videos came out. I couldn't say anything about him specifically before that but Fogg is a sub 11 100-meter dash runner. He's pretty quick.

I was impressed with his quickness shown on the video! Very explosive

More info on Kevin. When he went to San Antonio for the U.S. Army combine he had a hurt ankle as I said,
Kevin is one of the fastest kids in the Raleigh N.C. area. He now weighs about 175, he benches 270,
deep squats 375, and runs a high 4.2 to 4.3 pro shuttle. I know this because I taught him and coached him his
soph., and jr.years. I have since retired, yet I still help out .

Thanks for that inside info coachB. He certainly looked much faster on his video than that 40 time would have indicated, and you always wonder if that was the competition or not. Him being injured for that combine sure explains it. Speed is something we like!

A highlight video of all our recruits was posted on LU's official athletics website on signing day. Kevin is included.

Oh, I do Medic. If he enrolls in summer school Mr. Fogg should be "around the Burg in 80 days."

Kevin is planning to go to summer school so he can work out with the other players that are on campus during the summer. Also he can learn the offense as well as get to know the coaches better and them know him better. Not to mention
get a jump on school.

You never know when classic British literature resets are going to come from Philly cops.
Thanks for the details, CoachB.

It's classic
French literature and it was Phi
leas Fogg. Carry on.

I think we could potentially end up with a Thunder and Lightning type backfield (more so than before with RJ and ZT) with the guys we have coming in and the guys we have already on the team)

The Lightning part I get but who exactly would be Thunder in that scenario? We don't have another RB on the roster over 200 pounds.

I stand corrected.
