'Sounds like "breaking news"! Have Sly, Super, SCAR, & Lang been scooped (again)?

we'll only have him for one year. And apparently he has an interception problem.

In the SEC, I hear the BSC can be a little more friendly!
Cider, I like the name! Sorry to drop news, I was unaware of the contest!

Does he have a red shirt year left?

Incognito, the "breaking news" thing is a running joke on here, esp. with Lang who writes for the local paper. We love it when Flame Fans can scoop the fishwrap (our favorite word for the Lynchburg News & Advance). Thank you for the hot info!

You know I'm not allowed to talk about stuff like that before it happens.

Thanks Luke. I know he went to Carolina. Couldn't remember if he redshirted or not.

I'm not saying he won't start. But he does give us more options next season at QB. This guy might be perfect for the pro style offense. We'll see what happens.

There is zero chance he starts.

Wow, I didn't know you were on the coaching staff.

This guy didn't transfer without a guarantee to start - IMHO! Are you really that high on Landis?

Any coach who guarantees any player a starting job before he sets foot on campus will not be coaching for long.

I agree with that, but what they can and will offer is a guaranteed opportunity to compete for the starting position, (and they may hint that they think you will get it).

He didn't have a ton of success at Carolina, but he was the starter going into the season. And if you must know Carolina's offensive line has a lot to do with their QB play. All of their QB's recently have been very mistake prone. No offense to Spencer, but I'd shocked if Spencer was better than him, however there are a lot of other factors that go into whether he can win a job or not obviously, such as the fact Spencer should have a stranglehold on how we run the offense considering he's been here half a decade.

Why's it gotta be Landis? Why not Mike Brown? Who's to say Tyler Brennan won't make a leap during spring ball and surprise everyone? Who's to say this kid even decides to transfer anyways?

You bring up my personal preferences, Brennan or Brown, well done Jon.

Incognito, see all the controversy you've started? You'll find that what we lack in knowledge, we try to make up for in very strong opinions.

Brennon - Not going to be ready. Brown - not a pro-style type player - I would rather use him in the A-Back position or WR. Again - if he doesn't transfer then obviously it's going to be Brown or Landis.

How do you know Brennan won't make a leap this year in spring ball?
How do you know we're going to definitely run a pro-style offense next year? We've thrown a ton of spread looks in the past two years because of our personnel. The mark of a good coach is getting the most out of your personnel. When Landis was in the game the past two years you saw a much different playbook than with Brock. How do you know they won't do that with him or Mike for next year?
It's WAY too early to be saying anything definite for next year at some of these positions. We reloaded very fast at wide receiver so the need for Brown might not be there as much as we may have originally thought. We don't have a power back like Rashad so we may change things up a little with that. We have guys that are faster than some of last year's guys at the skill positions so we may play up that aspect. It's just too early to see exactly what we'll be doing.

Sounds to me like Proto and tddance shoulw go find teams to coach since they know all of this definitely. I have no idea how Proto "knows" Brennan will not be ready. He may well be!
