TriCitiesSports.com wrote:Offensive guard Hunter Beedle as seen the most activity to date. Adding to his list of suitors was Chattanooga who offered a full ride while visiting the school on Monday.

Beedle visited Bethel this past weekend and will visit Austin-Peay this weekend. He has offers from both schools.

The Mountain Lakes Conference Player of the Year will visit the Mocs on January 24.

While Wofford and Middle Tennessee State have backed off, Tennessee Tech is becoming more of a major player after head coach Watson Brown reviewed film of Beedle in action. Golden Eagle representatives are scheduled to be at South on Friday just before Beedle departs for Clarksville for a close-up look at the Governors.

Another player could be Liberty. Reportedly Liberty has offered its compliment of offensive line prospects but is concerned that at least one commitment may be 'soft' so the school is keeping Beedle on the board in hopes he might still be available should a spot become open.

And here is an evaluation from ESPN ...
Beedle is a solid offensive guard. Even though he isn't the tallest lineman at 6'3", he uses his height to his advantage by playing with great pad level. He also uses all his 270 pounds in driving defensive linemen off the football. Has powerful legs and keeps them moving on contact. Once in a while is a little slow with the first step but makes up for it by strength and effort. Gets hands into defender and completely controls the defensive man; sustains the block until the whistle blows. Plays with great leverage on the base block and maintains power angles in driving the defender off the line of scrimmage. Excellent on the double team block fitting in with teammate and plowing north and south; knocks defender to the next level. Good trapper and even shows ability to log the defender if the defensive man is flat and wrong arms the trap; delivers the blow and keeps churning with the legs. Demonstrates ability to get to level two linebackers and squares up. In quick pass protection, jars the pass rusher immediately stopping his charge and maintains solid base. Rocks back sometimes on deeper pass set instead of taking a kick step for depth, but has the athleticism to recover if defender tries to power rush him. Beedle plays hard and has good feet; just needs a little technique work.

Perhaps that is a good sign in regard to Malcolm.

Thanks, alum.
