I know LU recruited him and he ended up signing with Miami. It was reported today in the Miami Herald he has asked for his release. Wonder if Rocco knows of this ??????

Adderley was moved to TE last spring. That usually means the player isn't very fast.

He was moved because they were slim at the TE position and they had the best WR recruiting class in the country last year. Nothing wrong with having a possesion receiver and someone to throw fades to in the end zone, is there?

Except that he doesn't appear to have played at all this year at said "thin" position.
Look, I'm not saying the kid can't play or can't contribute at our level. Since he apparently can't play WR at 6'6" 220, it would have to be as a TE but we already have Shaver there who's actually bigger than that. I'm just of the opinion that taking this particular transfer isn't an automatic.

Even if he runs around a 4.6, at 6'6 and 220 lbs., he'd be an excellent slot receiver in the Big South.

LOL this reminds me of the people who said Vic Hall wouldnt beat out Brock for the starting QB job

Do you guys realize that a Miami OL could come and be a TE for us....and be really really good??? Their speed is something that the TV just doesnt do justice and you need to see it in person...this would be huge for us

That's
quite an assumption. That's in the same league as assuming Ronaldhino is probably an awesome plumber because, well, just because he's awesome. Everything I've read about Adderley reads like a bust and the general feeling is that Miami wasted a schollie on him. Can he play at the FCS level? I don't know, maybe. That's all. Only maybe.

Ok...1st I think last night proved that a OL can play TE for us (meaning they put a OL in the TE position last night and he showed that his hands and speed were REALLY REALLY good)...2nd bust at UM could be star power at LU...remember these guys that have transferred? Very few of them actually got playing time at their schools and they worked out pretty well for us. The talent/speed difference between DIA and DIAA is crazy

I'll say it again: I'm not saying this guy couldn't play for us. I am only saying that this guy reads different than the other transfers we've had and that just b/c he comes from I-A is no guarantee of quality. CSU had a QB transfer in from frickin' Oklahoma a few years back who ended up never playing a down. In fact, that guy was beaten out by all three of CSU's other QBs including a true freshman and a juco kid with a bone condition.

All I'm saying is if he was good enough for us to recuit 2 years ago, he should be good enough to tranfer in if both parties were interested.

Does he work out at Gold's Gym? That may be a qualifier.
