Jericho James says he’s just looking for the opportunity to play on the next level and pursue his education further. James has been described as being very driven, competitive, and a person with a strong work ethic who loves to play football.

James (6-foot-2, 220) plays linebacker and running back for King George High School and he is receiving interest from a number of D1 schools. "I went to a camp at the University of Maryland and the linebacker coach picked out five linebackers he wanted to work with and I was one of them," James said. "He talked to my coach about sending films."

While Jericho would love to play for the Terrapins, he’s willing to play for anyone who wants him. Liberty seems to have shown the most interest, and James plans on going to see one of their games soon. He attended the James Madison Camp and one of the staff there has also been talking with King George head coach John Bryant.

James helped the Foxes to a 5-5 record--their best season in his three years at the school. They are 2-3 at the halfway point this year including two straight wins. James has seven touchdowns in the two victories.

In the Foxes win over Freedom, James had 309 rushing yards, four touchdowns, one interception, and 12 tackles. Coach Bryant said it was one of the best individual performances he's ever seen. "In my eight years of coaching, that has to rank in the top two," he said.
