In 2007, he was drafted in the 25th round of the MLB draft by the San Diego Padres.

His Rivals profile lists him at 6'2" and 220 lbs.
VT lists him at 5'11" and 203 lbs.

Thanks for the heads up, Obiwan. It'd be great to have he and Mike be teammates once again.

The Rivals ht/wt data was obtained from "inflated" HS or parent numbers, while VT numbers were actual measurments

Hunter Ovens and Mike Connolly (redshirt freshman #11) played together in high school at Cardinal Mooney in Sarasota, FL

He didn't play any baseball at VT; I don't know if he plans to play baseball at Liberty. Probably depends on what Rocco says.

Hunter was supposed to move in with Mike for the spring semester, occupying the room left vacant by the departure of Spencer Hodges' (who transfered to Jacksonville University). Apparently Hunter has decided to rekindle his baseball career; he will be attending MCC (Manatee Community College) close to home in Bradenton, FL and obviously not coming to Liberty.
