Good call.

Since we know folks monitor the site...
...it could happen.

with the schedule already set and all that goes on with homecoming, i'd say they are planning it more around LU events than the team we play.

SAT OCT 31...
...Homecoming on Halloween. That could work.

The next week is VMI and the final home game (Senior Day). The other date that is about the usual time for homecoming is Oct 17, vs Coastal. Before that you have the bye and the game formerly known as the Iona game...and JMU the end of Sept.

You know just as much as we all know that...

THAT WAS A FLUKE!

You guys are terrible. Every other Big South team that we smashed, smashed you. That loss was a complete fluke and I can't wait to embarrass you guys next season!

we got smashed by GWU and VMI, we lost to CSU and coastal by 7-10pts each. i wouldn't call those smashing as we threw away our chances to win those games in the final min. and asi remember yall did not smash VMI, i can't remember about G-W. a fluke? maybe. but we we're in 3 of the last two games. why don't yall get over yourselves. yall talked so much crap going into our game, and came out LOSERS! but whatever, i would not care if we're yalls homecoming game.

VMI never led, we dominated the game. And how convenient that you can't remember our thrashing of G-W ;)

ANYWAY -- we were looking past you guys, that was the problem. We had won the game before we got there, and you played the game of your season. We humiliated the Blue Hosers last season, should have this season, and will next season. Y'all need to get over yourselves, thinking that you're competitive because of one fluke game. We'll see next season.

We need to get over ourselves? Wow! That's funny. And if we had beat you guys I still doubt we would have got into the playoffs, although losing to such a crappy team really set us back.

But we just over looked you guys, and that will NOT happen again. Next season we will get our revenge and it will be embarrassing. We beat Elon, who would have been in the playoffs had we not beat them, by 3 scores to get revenge on our loss to them last season. But Elon was really good. You guys are not. Expect to lose to us by at least 40 next season.

I just don't see how some of you guys make such bold predictions......and do it all the time.....2007 you beat a 36 scholly PC team....congrats.....this year you lost to a 48 scholly PC team with a freshman QB.........you are losing all of your big name players and still you are predicting a 40 point victory

we will win next year...but by 40?? I don't think most of us truly believe that.

But I can't imagine us losing to PC next year, at home.

40 may be an exaggeration. But I think it will be by at least 3 scores.

we will beat them next year...but its impossible for me to even begin to predict how much we will be beating certain teams when this season just ended last week....

I would almost guarantee that PC didn't have 48 scholarships this year. You might have 48 guys receiving some amount of financial aid but that does not necessarily equate 48 total scholarships.

we had at least 48 this year....some other hose fans may be able to say exactly how many but I know it was at least 48.....

The PC scholarship numbers are a complete mystery to me. Coach Bentley said on his radio show a while back that he thinks we'll get to 46 this spring. On the other hand, we've got a date with Clemson in '10 and we'll have to have averaged 56.7 scholarships over the prior two years ('08 and '09) in order for that presumed win to count towards Clemson's bowl eligibility. Even if we maxed out at 63 in '09, that means we would have to have been at a minimum of 50.4 scholarships in '08 to qualify.

Don't be such a stranger, Swiss. I've missed your wit and insight.

If you can't get the numbers, I'm sure there is a clause in the Clemson contract that voids the date.

Clemson played two FCS schools this year....of course only one counted. A Clemson fan who is somewhat in the know indicated that this is probably what was going to happen with the PC/Clemson 2010 game......but I could be wrong.......I thought we already had 48 schollies

PC's sports information director told me that the Hose were at 40 scholarships max this season.

 I can't believe this statement got overlooked. I laughed hard. Typical PC "ed-you-muh-kay-shun." How is it mathematically possible to be IN 3 of the last 2 games?!
