LEXINGTON — Corey Rasberry’s career touchdown haul entering Liberty’s game at VMI could be counted on one hand.
One fist actually.
“He never scored in high school, he never scored in Pop Warner, he never scored in college football,” said Flames tailback Rashad Jennings, Rasberry’s roommate.
Until Saturday, at least. The tight end caught a 19-yard touchdown pass from Brock Smith in the first quarter of Liberty’s 38-26 victory, catching a throw on a play-action rollout before sprinting down the left sideline for the score.
“Who knew?” Rasberry said of his burst of speed.
