Allen has a slew of interest from smaller colleges: Liberty, Jacksonville State, Delaware State, and Presbyterian have offered scholarships. He has played wide receiver, tailback, linebacker and safety this season for Madison County …

Madison County senior Aldreakis Allen led the Red Raiders in rushing and receiving last year. He also started in the secondary.

DANIELSVILLE - Madison County coach Randall Owens doesn't know what to make of senior Aldreakis Allen.

It is a good problem for a coach to have.

"What is he?" Owens said. "Is he a linebacker? Is he a safety? Is he a receiver? Is he a running back? He's got a lot of ability."

For Allen and the rest of the Red Raiders, the answer to all of Owens questions is an assertive "Yes." The do-it-all senior will be reprising his multiple roles this season while adding a new one: team leader.

"It feels good," Allen said. "I'm just trying to be a leader and help out my team when I can."

with our depth issues at WR, he may be good for us there. Maybe he'd be a good return man? Our only return guy returning next year is Mike Brown, and if he is playing QB, then he won't return for us.

Aldreakis is six foot, 200 lbs right now. If he is lifting trying to get bigger faster and stronger he could gain 10 to 15 lbs.
Thus he could be the thunder, the big power back.

I'd like to see him at safety. He's got great size and good speed. With some potential openings at the safety positions, he could fit the bill.

So I did some perusing of the stats and AA is 385 yards away from breaking into the top 5 all time for rushing yards (#5 is LU Hall of Famer Chip Smith with 2,617 yards), two TDs from breaking into the top 5 in rushing TDs (three if you remember Mike Brown, who is #5, is a QB), and 89 carries away from the top 5 in that category (Glenn Inverso is #5 with 487)
