Reed Gets Some Great Feedback

Christian Reed has been an outstanding high school football player for Notre Dame High School, however sometimes in recruiting that doesn’t always transfer to scholarship offers immediately. As time has gone by interest has started to rise in Reed and now he has picked up a preferred walk-on offer from a school known to have one of the best defensive and special teams units in college football.

And here is where we apparently come into the picture ...

Frank Sheehan of Brown called our home on Tuesday night as well as coaches from Liberty. Of course, he already has a full offer from Monmouth at this point. We made a trip to their game last week and he really liked it there.”

The preferred walk-on offer from Virginia Tech is one that would definitely make a lot of sense for Reed. While he is a bit undersized at defensive end, the Hokies use wide splits for their pass rushers and with his ability to wreak havoc in the backfield, he could fit right in Coach Bud Foster’s defensive scheme. He could also be a very good special teams player given his tremendous motor.
