I know everybody is emotional. But try and keep it on topic.

Never has the word "postmortem" more aptly described a post-game thread.

I guess we really aren't as good as I thought we were. The leopards showed us that and the blue hose proved it to us...

Guess we don't have to worry about trying to get the kids to stay for the Elon game.

i was thinking that, but its still sr. night.

so now we root for GW over stony brook, otherwise were tied for first in conference. granted wed come out because of our win, but still.

And yet some people think moving to 1-A is on the horizon. Losses like this should be a healthy dose of reality.

I think before we say anything about the game itself we wait for opinions from those who were there.

Not surprising really, to be honest. This team wasnt ready for the playoffs, anyway. No killer instinct. We would have gotten blown to bits by any playoff team.

FIELD GOAL

Why didn't Coach Rocco at least try for a tying filed goal?

I literally feel sick to my stomach. Very disheartening. This will be very hard to recover from.

Coach Rocco Postgame Comments:

What went wrong?
"We didn't play well enough to win. I have to give Bobby Bentley and his kids all the credit. In the 2nd half we came out and scored but gave up twp 1-play scores and you can't play like that and win."

On how to keep players from falling off after such a disappointing loss ...
"We just have to pick our helmets up and get back in the office and start getting ready for next week."

On the Special Teams Failures once again ...
"It just doesn't look the way it is supposed to look at this stage in the season. We have a couple of guys banged up and we have some guys out of position."

On the distractions of a the playoff watch ...
"That was my job coming into this game and I didn't get it done. Anytime somebody talks about anything other than the game at hand is a distraction. Tonight we didn't play well enough to win. In reality it is always one game at a time and one play at a time. We'll see how we bounce back next week."

We're 3-0 in the conference. Presby doesn't count in the standings.

Is it me or did Brock look like the Brock of old. Throwing it behind receivers, not throwing the ball away and taking the sack?

I think the whole problem is that we're not consistent. Nobody knows which LU team will show up for the game.

The LU team that shut out Stony Brook and Chuck South is NOT the same team that played Lafayette and Presby, and probably not the same one that played Coastal. Once we get consistent, we will be the team everybody thought we were this season.

I dont know, but my uneducated guess is

slow linebackers
Dline that cannot be agressive bc of the 3-4 system

I'm ready for some Play Basketball and Seth Curry & co.

I don't like posting in this thread very often but I gotta say something when I read things that just aren't true. Slow linebackers? Are you serious? We have 2-3 linebackers that run 4.5 or better.

Well, let's pick our heads up and win the Big South. Maybe everyone else will lose the rest of the season.
