but alumni who come all the way to lynchburg from far away probably wont let it keep them from the game.

Plus, the last few years the rain really hasnt affected the attendance that much. And under Rocco, we've won every home game featuring rain.

FYI--in all seriousness, umbrellas are NOT permitted in Williams Stadium, so you better bring other rain gear, like red ponchos.

or just suck it up and realize you wont melt in the rain. Bundle up and be like the great fans of just about any team from the North.

Like the Cubbies and their bleacher Bums, who this summer in one of the worst storms of the year, when they delayed the game and tried evacuating the stadium, just about everyone stayed in their seats. All this means is less Chuck South fans, and more thunder to add to the thunder sticks(assuming those are out this week?)

sweeet. I love those things. They need to give those out at every home game, much more effective than the pom-poms.

I better get thundersticks this year. Of course, I have to keep them away from my son.

Don't you guys remember last year when it rained non-stop for like three days before clearing the morning of the Homecoming game? It had a big effect on attendance and it could happen again. Right now it appears to be a 30-40% chance of rain Friday night and Saturday during the day before clearing out Saturday night. There is plenty of time for that to change for the better or ... or the worse.

I'll have a hard time convincing my wife to let my three kids come to the game if it is raining hard. Hopefully it doesn't come to that point.

Hardly anybody wants to drive several hours in the rain to sit outside in the rain all afternoon. We FlameFans are among them but we are not in the majority.

Here's a glimmer of hope....I watched the WSLS news today at 5p and the weather guy said that this system is moving faster than they thought and should be arriving tomorrow afternoon, rain all night and Saturday morning but should taper off by the Saturday afternoon. YAY that's good news!! I sure hope he's right!

sounds like the parade is a no-go but the game should be clear or at least much better. hopefully people will show up when the rain tapers off.

Saturday: Rain, mainly before 11am. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 61. Southeast wind 7 to 10 mph becoming west. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Guess it will be a muddy track Saturday.

Looking at the ABC13 weather report this morning, they also show the advance radar with the rain leaving here around 11-noon tomorrow.
