Bye Bye Bye

Around the 2 minute mark with the game all but over I couldnt help but notice N'Sync playing over the PA and Bye Bye Bye being the song...just kind of rubbed me the wrong way, we're the home team about to take a very very tough loss and that plays. Is that just a sick coincidence? I've never heard N'Sync at LU before but maybe they've played it and I just didnt know...but either way it would have made me mad if we were on the road and they played that (while I would credit them for being clever) but at home...geez salt in the wound

I'd chalk this one up as my pet peeve

I'm pretty sure they were playing It's Gonna Be Me. They've played both of em at games before, but I'm almost certain that was It's Gonna Be Me.

while we're talking about what's going on with the PA system, what was going on up in the booth? It was funny the first time he left his mic on and we heard "ohhh maaann". But the second time is just unprofessional.

Better than Family Force 5 repeated 20 times a game

To people who don't like that music in games: what would you suggest? The people who do music have been trying to find stuff that they can play at our games for the past few weeks and it seems like everything gets shot down by the people on here. If you have a suggestion for a song, post it. Just remember where we're at and the people who sit on the Baptist side.

Honestly I think its MUCH better than a couple years ago. Of course, THEY know who I am, but Id say that anyway. I say take the Madden Soundtrack's find what songs you can and put them on in addition to what we have. The Cupid Shuffle is awesome not because its a great song, but because WE CAN PLAY IT!!

I don't think the music has been THAT bad..of course there is some I am thinking, "what the heck!?"...but no matter what they play its not going to please everybody. It has gotten better, that is for sure. I think they did a solid job this past week mixing it up...

When the chipmunk song came on I lost it. I personally would love to hear some instrumentals of rap songs or maybe some hard rock songs. Jock jams and Toby Mac are getting old

I do think "we win" by david crowder is a good choice. Both the intro and the chorus are great. It just sucks when you play the chorus (weve already won no you dont stand a chance) and then you lose the game

Lecrae (I know one song was played, but it wasn't even one of his hit songs! Play Jesus Muzik or Send Me)
116 clique (Amped Cd)
Trip Lee
LA Symphony
Cross Movement

I agree, the madden soundtracks would be cool...

Relient K
Anberlin
The Almost
Emery
Mae
Jonezetta
Paramore
Underoath (stuff from Their Only Chasing Safety wouldn't be too heavy)
Mercy Mercedes
Spoken
Switchfoot
Sullivan
The Wedding

And I could go on for a while... These are all Christian bands and based on the stuff I have heard at games before... none of it should offend to baptist side too bad.

also none of the chipmunks crap or any boy band...

And we should have a plan of songs to play when we are winning (aka, david crowder we have already won) and other songs that are neutral (aka, when we are down you don't play we have already won!)

I'm not criticizing anyone, just making suggestions.

i'm not a fan of any of the boy band stuff, but i can see why they play it. most of the girls in the crowd love it and they all sing and dance, so when THEY see people responding to the songs they are gonna keep playing them. i'm ok with that i guess b/c i can see where they are coming from, it just doesn't seem like music that should be played at a football game

It's been mentioned a couple times already, but that third down music is definitely illegal. I felt like I was at an NBA game. They blasted it right up to the snap on a few occasions, and it did cost LC a delay of game penalty. I can't believe that their coach didn't complain about it.

And the chipmonk song was a good song to play, there are tons of kids at the game. It's like the hillcats playing the sponge bob song, it wakes them up.

Seriously, you people go to football games to listen to music? Get a frickin' grip.

????

I'm not sure anyone on here said they go to football games to listen to the music....it's no secret that music is the #1 thing that can set an atmosphere, it doesnt matter if it's a football game, basketball game or fine restaurant or hotels they all use these things to help with the atmosphere and set the mood

Funny, I thought that was the fans.

Also, by rule, "unfair noise" is determined at the referee's discretion so I'm amazed at the depth of knowledge on this board that can decisively determine when the PA announcer is doing something "illegal" when the referee on the field cannot.

You people astound me. And not in a good way.
