I know the thread got locked before because it got far off topic.

But this is on topic. It was stated TAIT was to perform at halftime, so there would be no homecoming performance. But today I received an email from the student advocate office telling of all thats happening over homecoming and it said
....and a Michael Tait concert (formerly of DC Talk) the same day following the football game against Charleston Southern. You won’t want to miss it!
If it is following the football game, does that mean band will be performing at halftime now?

The original plan was for Tait to play a short concert at halftime and another one post-game.

I like the idea, personally. Half time is often a time where many students get up and leave...while Tait isn't exactly the most household name, it might persuade students to stick around a little longer.

Got it confirmed yesterday that the band is playing it's full show for pregame. And they're going to play to the alumni (Baptist side).

Not everyone. Kevin Smith told me he was going to play during homecoming too but it didn't work out. Not saying Tait was a backup or anything but it would have been nice to see Tait and Kevin come. That would have brought Toby out for sure. A DC Talk reunion at Liberty would have been perfect! I can't name 5 songs they sing to tell the truth but I am happy for their success.

You are showing your Old Hag status once again, Scar. All the current students are trying to figure out who this Kevin Smith is you are referencing.

He was a Smith when we knew him but he's a Max to the younger generation (if they even remember dcTalk).

Yeah, I talked about that on here a few months ago...at one time everything was set up...Tait was going to do the show but Kmax was going to come up on stage and join him...then within the last 4 weeks things got messy

I would love a DCTalk reunion anytime, anywhere but I do love the Pride of the Mountain too.

It'll happen soon enough....if Toby wasnt going to Smith Mtn Lake I think it would have been this year...they are all open to the idea and it seems to excite them all
