Rankings mean about as much as me walking to class to try to lose weight after dropping 15 bucks at Taco Bell for lunch.

And they just aren't on our level... they're a Patriot League team, and while they are good in their conference against teams like themselves, they just aren't at . A loss would be DEVASTATING for us.

This is a school that does not have "Scholarships", and that holds to EXTREMELY high academic standards. They are a quality program, but this would be an epic upset for them. I hope they compete, I haven't seen a good game at the Bill yet, but I just don't see it happening.

That being said...

LU- 21
Laf- 3

(They have a solid defense, but the offense just won't be there)

Edit: I took a little off our score. just looked, and their defense is REALLY good.

14,000 attendance, maybe less. This is a team (like Stony Brook) that most of the students have never heard of. Gonna be hard work getting them fired up for this one.

Just like US! See! haha

No, really you make some great points. I just don't know much about them or their level of Competition. I didn't even know they didn't have scholarships. Why not?

I put it in quotes for a reason... see Franks Tanks explanation in the preview thread. It's a unique situation, and they still attract fantastic athletes. I just don't think it's the same level of football. Not to say they are "below" us, but they recruit under different circumstances.

You guys on predicting the attendance have to count the fact that it is Family weekend. Say Liberty wins 28-10, Attendance 14,900

It's always fun playing a team with an active fan base. In the past we've played some very good teams in the FCS playoffs. I remember when we played App State very tough a couple of years ago. Their fans had no idea who we were or what we were about prior to that game. I was proud when their fans came to our board after we suffered a tough loss to tell us what a scare we gave them and how they had a new respect for Patriot League football. I'm optimistic that the our team puts its best foot forward this weekend. Being a complete "homer" I have to predict a Leopard victory. I'll go with 21-17 Lafayette.

Regardless, it's nice to see you guys on the schedule. Nice change of pace. Enjoy the weekend...but not too much.
