Remember a couple of years ago how we were enduring the "learning to win" thing?
I think this team just passed the test.

A game we were supposed to lose by multiple scores, and we win in dramatic fashion. I love it.

Someone mentioned it in the game thread...and got me thinking:
Is this the biggest win in program history?
I don't think so, but I don't really know what to think so soon after.....

Big win! If we win the conference now we will be in the playoffs and taking care of that unfinished business!

If this is our best win this year, its not the best in LU history

I'm going to see if I can pay to watch the game and watch it. They were offering it yesterday to be played at 10:00p (as a delay). This one is worth watching!!!

I think this is the biggest win in our Football history BY FAR. Yes, have we beat other great teams like Appy State and others - yes. But this game was a game that would have destroyed any chance to make the playoffs for the first time. And to beat a team that is hard to beat at home, that just beat the number 2 team in the country!! We can think that if we would have lost this game - than run the tables - we would be in? But history would tell you that is not good thinking - to jump 10 spots when the top 25 teams are in conference play is really difficult.
Great win for the guys - let's get ready for Coastal.

This win may be one of the biggest when we look back at it but I have to think winning a conference championship is the most important at this time.

HUGE WIN FOR YOUR PROGRAM!!!
Be proud, a non-conference team hasn't beat YSU at home in at least 4 or 5 years! That win will help you enormously when you go for the playoffs. YSU is not done though, the MVFC is a battle this year, we'll be tied for #2 after tonight, if SIU beats UNI. Who we got at home in 2-3 weeks respectively.

If we would've done that, with wins over Lafayette and Elon, we would've been in the playoffs.

I would like to hear the explanation of the 3rd and 4 call. Not that it's going to make this score better, but if we want to close out games, throwing INT's is not the way to do it.
Brock played (as usual) well enough for us to win, but made enough mistakes to keep it interesting.
Rashad is awesome, and next year will be ridiculously tough to replace him.
For all the times J5 gets us extra yards when most go down, a fumble was bound to happen.
JE wasnt bad. Had some bonehead calls, but overall not bad.
Bevins did what he needed to. No one buy him a drink though
Either way, horrific start, way to rally and beat the tick out of them over 2 quarters, but inconsistency will bite us at some point if we dont shore this up.
With that said, We got 3 big games left this year, so lets get COASTAL

As in - If we dont have a huge win vs Elon or winning the conference or getting a playoff win, then this win cant be the best in history. #15 Appy or the Championship are above this one.

SJ I have to say this is one of the biggest wins but beating Central Michigan at their place when they were 1-A is bigger. I agree with Proto that in context and the implications it has that this one might actually be the biggest. I'm really glad we kept our composure on that last drive. We can say what we want about almost losing the game but the point is we did what we had to do when it counted.
Are you kidding

3rd down and four yards to go.....pass? from the shotgun? no play action... Let Rashad run for the four yards...
Left handed quarterback rolling right?
If LU losses, the Offensive Coordinator on that call needed to look for a new job and soon...
Good win boys...even with a bad play call....actually GREAT WIN

Now I see your point, and I think I can agree to that. I liked what SJ said, too, about a conference title always being the goal.
I'd add to the list the win over Toledo (I think) when Eric Green caught the TD in the last moments. Anyone remember?

It may have been a questionable call but to say the O coordinator needs to look for a job is just stupid. If Jordan misses a game winning free throw do you cut him? Not saying our coaches are Jordan but you have to look at the whole picture and not one play...Sheeesh.

Not Central Michigan, it was Eastern Michigan back in Sam R's first year who was undefeated and ranked. Anyway I think that this was the biggest win since knocking App State out of the playoffs back in 97. The Troy State win back in 92 was up there too.
