I finally get to break a scoop on here. I've been told we're going after Keegan Linza from North Rowan High School in NC. He's a quarterback, around 6'3/6'4 with an amazing work ethic. The only bad thing is, he's also a pitcher and throws mid 80's (clocked highest at 87 this year in games) and is only a junior. There's a good chance he could go to a major school in baseball. Still worth talkin about.

He was 2005 Offensive Player of the Year for the 2A Central Carolina Conference in 2005 as a junior. His team was 9-4 overall (lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs). The CCC hasn't posted All-Conference yet for baseball but it's a lock he'll be all-conference and there's a chance he'll get Player of the Year for that as well. He was somewhere around 5th in the state (according to NCPreps.com) in passing yards with 2231 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Thanks for the heads up. The more talent the better.

Hopefully we can land him. I somewhat doubt we will because of his talents in baseball (I've seen him pitch personally twice). He's the real deal in baseball and I think he'll go to a pretty decent sized school in baseball.

Alright, no chance we get him, unfortunately. He's getting interest from South Carolina and UVA among others for baseball. He was clocked at about 89 consistently the past 2 weekends.

How bad does he want to play QB? He can get a full ride in football and just a partial in baseball. Just something to factor into the equation.

He's a pitcher through and through. QB prolly won't happen.
