This group is for Liberty Students who want to give a Southern feel to our football season!
As many of you know, SEC schools have fraternities & sororities that dress up for all home football games: girls wear sundresses, guys where khakis and polos.

So girls, get your other girlies to get all gorgeous with your sundresses for the game!
Fella's, dress like a southern gentlemen. Polos and khakis! you know the drill!

Don't join if you don't wanna dress it!
Lets make it happen. We are the BIG SOUTH!

ya'll invite your friends!
Sundresses and polos don't have to be red! Pick your own favorite flavor for the game! Just make sure you cheer for the Flames!

I can find no fault in any group that wants to have a theme to go to a game...so long as they go. Let's all keep in mind how students stayed away in droves (other than for a few select games) in the not so distant past.

(My son's comment about LU students and pre-game football was seeing all the students walking around with their Dr. Peppers, etc before the game Saturday...as opposed to the Tech students at those games he's been to)

but seriously...it can't be comfortable...and the whole..."it doesn't have to be red" thing is just ridiculous....

Just make it school colors. How hard is that. If you want to dress up then great, have at it. I'm all for seeing girls in sun dresses. Just make it school colors. That's all I'm asking. There's a lime green something or another sticking out like a sore thumb in there. With all of the money that has been spent on promoting the red stuff the least they can do is respect their own school and wear the color they're asked to.

I got no problems with it either... As long as they are there that's really all that matters right now... I think some people have a little bit more time on there hands than others to be worried about if a girl wears a sundress to a football game....

To me it's a respect thing. Respect the chancellor. Respect the athletic director. They don't ask you to do much. You can still dress up and do these things and wear red at the same time. That's the part that bugs me.

gay. If that's a southern thing, the south is gay.

It's a southern frat thing. That explains everything.

really are we gonna lose it over some sundresses? lets put a big circle over the guy in a blue shirt? they are there havin a good time. if ya want to freak out about something a little more important how bout you talk about how the student section was basically depleted 5 minutes into the third quarter. Try that one on for size.

hear ye. hear ye.

all students come to the games.

students without shirts on ( in the front row) stick out alot more than a lime green sun dress.

saying this i agree with SJ. dress like the LC and Audrina if you wish, just do it in red. And it is SWEET, that students are showing conern about planning any type of event for the football game.

I circled them to show where in the crowd they were. There were plenty of people I could've circled.

I'm not complaining about them dressing up. I'm complaining about them going completely against the school and the athletic department by saying don't worry about wearing red, it doesn't matter.

I knew someone would say this. They have their chests painted in school colors. That's all I'm asking. Wear a school school color. Please. That's all. I'll settle for navy, just make it a school color.

It's funny this topic came up. I was just about to suggest it at the beginning of the year after going to the Alabama FSU game last year. I'm not big on the whole Frat or Soreity thing, but the Sundresses on a Saturday afternoon just goes with the college football tradition

Once again: dressing up is ok, but please make it a school color.

I don't care what their shirt says, what their chest says, or whatever, as long as they're at the game and have school colors on them then I don't have a problem with it. If it says LUnatics, if it says SFC, if it says Liberty, if it says Red Hot, if it says Ralph Lauren, I don't care, as long as it's a school color.

I still thinking dressing nice to go to a sporting event is stupid...always have and always will...but thats a whole other debate...

the school colors thing kind of is stupid since its been stressed so much and it looks much cooler to have everybody in red...but oh well...

can't really be too mad because they are at the games...but i can still think they are stupid...

I'm not mad. I just don't like it.
