True but you all had some guys that were not afraid to run into a brick wall. Rocco was hesitant thats all. But he was in the starting lineup but Greiser was back there w/ him. I remember on a Lafayette TD Rocco was not really backing away from the WR but he sure as heck was not attempting to tackle him either.

At this point, Rocco has trimmed his favorites list down to five: North Carolina, Penn State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

It would be nice if he'd come here, but any place other than UNC 8)

Don't think that is going to happen, would be really cool... It wouldn't surprise me to see him land at UNC or Penn State.. Those final 5 are all great spots for him and he would fit in well at any of those...

that doesn't necessarily mean he still wouldn't commit there. I think he's more likely to end up at one of the ACC schools, either Wake or UVA, IMHO...

But by some chance he decides to stay here and play for Uncle Danny, we'd have ourselves one heck of a QB for a few years...

And if he chooses to go to those schools and it doesn't work out, there's always the fallback plan of coming back home.

If he does not land at LU (which it does not seem he will) then I hope he goes to UVA. They need all the help they can get at that position!

Apparently a little known fact is that Mike is one of the top defensive backs in the state and there is the possibility that he could be recruited as a defensive back. I saw him put two players out of a state championship game with vicious hits several years ago. Don't worry about his thoughs on contact. Also, Chris has absolutely no fear of contact. To make a statement like that shows that you are merely going for an insult rather than an intelligent statement of fact.

Seriously, especially coming from a fan of a team who has an entire defense who's scared of contact. Can't stop the run to save their lives. Rashad had to tackle himself since they couldn't do it.

QB Rocco goes in-depth on Louisville

Josh Helmholdt
CardinalSports.com

Quarterback Mike Rocco has been very productive in his last two seasons as the starting quarterback at Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy, throwing for more than 4,200 yards and 52 touchdowns. Last month, Louisville became the first Division 1 program to offer him a full scholarship.

"Penn State, at their camp the other week, offered me a greyshirt opportunity," Rocco reported. "I was sort of under-the-radar because both Paul Jones and Robert Bolden were there and they've both been offered by Penn State. I was just competing with those guys and showing what I had to offer. Penn State said what they liked a lot about me was my footwork and how I was patient and just taking what the defense was giving me."
"Louisville and Penn State both play in BCS Conferences. When it comes down to it, the level of play with play a little bit of a part in the decision. I want to play at the highest level and be trained to play at the highest level, but all [college] coaches train their guys to play at a high level and to win championships, so anywhere I go I'll be coached to play at that level."
