We were at the game. A few points to consider.
Suprised by number of LU fans there, and holding their own in loudness.
Our offense had them on their heals running the ball, most of the night. 2nd and 5 is a good playcalling down. Rashad with 6.5 per carry. I am a fan of Mosier at left guard. Time to pass vs FBS team, amazing, Brock was in the pocket for what seemed like an eternity.
Don't underestimate the limitations of not having Zach in the lineup. This was truly unfortunate and restricts playcallilng options.
Nick Hursky's absense from the middle was huge. Stevie Ray had to defend the box vs. Parmale, and provide support for the myriad of screens out to trips. Bannon will be good, but we paid a price for his FBS education last night.
(I know they had injuries to deal with as well, but if an FCS is to beat an FBS, you need full strength.)
The interception for a TD was a mixed blessing. Sure I'll take the points, but D had to go right back out there. And the wear down became more effident. Not sure everyone noticed the size of UT O line vs our D Line, but from field level, it was significant. Its tough when you are praying for a penalty or a turnover as your best means of stopping the march.
Critical error, taking out a receiver when the ball sails (like a punt) over DB's head, and you go from an interception to a huge unsportsmanlike penalty. Sets up a score I believe.
O Lineman down field? When I looked at the replay on the jumbo, I saw all 5 interior linemen running with slide protection along the line of scrimmage. You get 3 yds up field for pass blocking, but not at the end of their homecoming game in the last seconds.

Contact on the receiver while the ball is in the air used to be illegal. Should have caught the ball. Ewww, I hate that word.
We all have to focus, and get ready and get behind these guys, to capture the first Big South title in football. Let us check to see if our contributions here are constructive and beneficial or devisive and conterproductive. Venting, however, can be threraputic, if managed.
